Cows and dreams

This image is dedicated to dreamy cows I couldn't resist. It is also an ode to the water series on my website I created the water work previously in the year and haven't since made images that invoke a similar aesthetic. Here's to cows, the ocean and California.

The Shower Project visits Redwood City

Upon the suggestion of many respected friends and confidants, I recently took the shower project into another space.  A different shower with the same spirit. The result was as follows. As always don't hesitate to click and go larger on your view. Thanks for visiting.20090917-shower-jolie-024-4

The beach

This is Hearst Castle beach in California. One of my most memorable stops. People up for impromptu photo shoots and bridges straight out of a dream. Except for it being a little chilly there was not much to complain about. I particularly fell in love with this little girl. Enjoy! 20090915-shower-jolie-008

Albany Bulb

Albany Bulb in California is a short drive from San Francisco and feels like a dream. Your whole idea of scale is turned around. This space called the Albany bulb is a landfill and is known for its vast array of urban art including mural, graffiti, sculpture, and installation art. Sniff, a group of artists became known as the guerilla artists who decorated and transformed the space. If interested, check this link!

Gregory Halpern

I also stumbled upon another photographers work that I thoroughly enjoyed. Gregory Halpern is Massachusetts based and teaches at the Museum school in Boston. Exceptional use of color and I love the way he utilizes the night... Check his work out!

David Wright

This man was recently chosen as a Conscientious competition winner. I also had an exchange with him about buying his portable 4 x 5. The deal never went through but I loved the way described why he liked to used the 4 x 5 - he said " The depth of field using the 50mm and 85mm will be similar to that of the 4x5 but it will not be as creamy" Well, his pictures are certainly creamy my friends. Enjoy and take a look at his website, its golden.
